1.2 At Precision Group we take your privacy seriously and we are committed to protecting your personal We aim to be clear about how we use personal data and this privacy notice will inform you as to how we look after your personal data, what personal data we process and why. It includes the relevant requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation. It applies both your visit our website (regardless of where you visit it from) and when you use our services.

2.2 This privacy notice (“notice“) describes what types of personal data Precision Group collect from you, when, how and why it is collected, used and disclosed and how it is kept secure when you use our website https://precisiongroup.co.uk/ and when you purchase goods or services from us.

2.3 It is important that you read this notice together with any other privacy notice or fair processing notice we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. This notice supplements the other notices and is not intended to override them.

2.4 This website and our services are not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect personal data relating to children. If you are under 16 please do not provide us with any of your personal data unless you have the permission of your parent or guardian to do so.

2.5 It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal data changes during your relationship with us by contacting us using the details in Section 4.

3.1 This Privacy Policy may be modified from time to time as our business practices and legal requirements evolve. If this Privacy Policy is modified, we will provide notice of the change by posting the updated Privacy Policy on this website, and we will include the effective date of the update.

4.1 Precision Group is made up of a number of separate trading divisions. When we mention “Company”, “we”, “us” or “our” in this privacy notice, we are referring to Precision Group Limited as a whole as that is the company which is responsible for processing your data and responsible for this website.

4.2 If you have any questions about this notice, your rights under data protection legislation as set out in Section 14 (What rights you I have under data protection legislation?) or the processing of your personal data generally you can contact us free of charge at any time by using the details below:

4.3 If you are dissatisfied with our use of your personal data or our response to any exercise of these rights you have the right to complain to your data protection authority, this in the UK is the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) ico.org.uk.

5.1 Personal data means any information about a living individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data). We collect and process personal data about you which we have grouped together into different types of data to make it easier for you to understand what we do with your personal data and what our legal basis is for processing the personal data. Details of how we process your personal data and why are set out in Section 8 (Why we process your personal data) and details of the legal bases we rely on to process your personal data are set out in Section 9 (What is the legal basis for processing your personal data)

5.1.1 Contact Data– details of your name(s), home address, previous home address, home phone number (including mobile), home email, work address, work phone numbers (including mobile), company name, postcode, job title information about you in relation to your project (if you choose to provide it); and marketing preferences;

5.1.2 Identity Data– details of your passport, drivers licence, date of birth, utility bills, national insurance number;

5.1.3 Financial Data – details of your bank account, bank statements, payment card details, vehicle purchase agreement, your employment history and salary if required as part of your finance application;

5.1.4 Transaction Data – details about payments to and from you and other details of products and services you have purchased from us.

5.1.5 Website Data– our web servers store as standard details of your browser and operating system, the website from which you visit our websites, the pages that you visit on our websites, the date of your visit to the website, web browsing behaviour, demographics, profiling and statistics and the internet protocol (IP) address assigned to you by your internet service provider. For more details about how we collect your personal data through the use of cookies please see Section 7 (Cookies and how we use these to process your personal data).

5.1.6 Image Data– photographic images and footage of you is collected via the operation of CCTV when you visit our offices.

5.1.7 Audio Data– details of telephone voice calls maybe recorded for monitoring, dispute resolution and training purposes when you contact us or we contact you.

5.1.8 Social Network Data– detail of personal data that is part of your public profile on a third party social network may be collected if you like, follow, message, post opinion or comment on our Precision Group social media pages.

5.2 As a whole we do not collect the following special categories of personal data about you, details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, and information about your health or genetic and biometric data. Nor do we collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.

5.3 We also collect, use and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. However, if we combine or connect aggregated data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with this privacy notice.

6.1 Personal data you have given to us. We collect personal data when you provide this to us directly in the scenarios listed below:

6.1.1 by entering personal data via our websites, live chat boxes or social media platforms and through testimonials and opinions you may have posted publically on our websites or social media platforms;

6.1.2 when you call our offices;

6.1.3 on an enquiry form during a manufacturer or third party event that you have attended;

6.1.4 when you complete customer surveys, provide feedback or participate in competitions we run online;

6.1.5 when you place any order for our goods, products or services for example when you purchase a service or book an appointment for a site inspection;

6.1.6 when you respond to an advertisement or any other promotional communication we may have sent to you;

6.1.7 by corresponding with us by phone, email, in person or otherwise (for example via social media) for any other purpose.

6.2 Data from third parties.From time to time, we may also collect some data about you from third parties (“Third Party Data”). This includes:

6.2.1 other companies who have obtained your permission to share data with us, such as advertisers or other companies you have bought associated products or services from;

6.2.2 research panels to carry out market research for us which may involve collecting personal data in order to conduct the research. This data collection will be subject to the privacy policies of the research panels. The information that is provided to us by the research panels is usually provided on an anonymous basis.

6.3 We use the data from this research to inform the evaluation of our performance and to develop our products and services including advertising;

6.3.1 inform our marketing and promotional activities;

6.3.2 reputable third-party data providers, such as Apollo Database, who we have vetted. The data we obtain from these providers has been collected by them through publicly available records such as the electoral roll, or, with your consent, from surveys or other brands and companies that you engage with. Where these third-parties hold such information, it may include data such as:

  • name;
  • job title;
  • company name and address;
  • location;
  • email address;
  • telephone numbers.

 

6.4 We also collect publicly available information from social networking sites such as Twitter, Linkedin and Facebook for example likes, shares, tweets and posts about Precision Group. This information is provided to us by using third party software and is fully anonymised so we cannot see who has posted the information. However from time to time we may identify individuals for internal analysis purposes only.

7.1 A ‘cookie’ is a piece of information that a website transfers to the cookie file of the browser on your computer’s hard disk, so that the website can remember who you are. A cookie will typically contain the name of the domain from which the cookie has come, the ‘lifetime’ of the cookie, and a value, usually a randomly generated unique number. 8.1.1 in order to take the necessary steps in preparation of, or to fulfil our obligations under, a booking contract to:

We will only ever capture personal data that has already been made publicly available on our website in this way and for these purposes. Where possible, when copies the website are archived we anonymise or remove personal data. From time to time the data that we keep in our archive is reviewed and any data that is no longer considered of interest will be deleted or anonymised.

11.1 To protect your information, Precision Group Limited has policies and procedures in place to make sure that only authorised personnel can access the information, that information is handled and stored in a secure and sensible manner and all systems that can access the information have the necessary security measures in place. To accomplish this, all employees, contractors and sub-contractors have roles and responsibilities defined in those policies and procedures.

11.2 To make sure all employees, contractors and sub­contractors understand these responsibilities they are provided with the necessary training and resources they need.

13.1 If you are wondering why you have received a communication from us, this is because we collected your personal data when we were negotiating a sale for example you asked us for a quotation, etc… You have the right at any time to opt out or update your preferences in terms of the marketing you receive from us and the manner in which we communicate with you. You can change your marketing preferences, or withdraw your consent in relation to how the Precision Group use your personal information in one of the following ways:

14.1.4 Object to processing of your personal data. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your information which override your rights and freedoms.

14.1.7 Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data.

Steven Pimblett

Head of Finance

After studying accountancy at Queen’s University of Belfast and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2001, Steven “moved to industry” in 2002, holding senior finance roles with several local businesses.  

Steven joined The Precision Group in 2019 and was appointed Finance Director in 2020.  Steven leads Precision’s experienced and dedicated Finance Team.  He constantly strives to maximise the long-term financial performance of the Group via the provision of robust, considered and pragmatic guidance to both internal management and the board.  

In addition, Steven, together with the finance team, manage the day to day finances of Precision and provide accurate and timely information to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.    

Eddie Finn

Head of Technical Services – Construction & Building Division

Eddie joined The Precision Group in 2016 as Head of Technical Services for the Construction & Building Division.

With over 25 years’ experience within the Construction & Building Sector, Eddie has managed many large scale construction projects across the UK and Ireland.  

Along with a wealth of industry experience, Eddie holds numerous professional qualifications and accreditations, including MCIOB, ACIBE, IOSH, NVQ Level 7 in Construction Senior Management and the Constructions Skill Register Black Construction Management Card.

Not content with standing still, Eddie is currently working towards the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety.

Alan Stringer

Senior Contracts Manager

Alan is one of the company’s longest-serving employees, having joined the Precision Group in 2000 as a Specialist Contracts Manager.

He is currently responsible for the development and management of the Precision Group’s specialist technical services, primarily within the Utility Data Capture arena.  Latest projects include the Cork City DAP, which was one of the largest European drainage asset surveys completed in recent years.

Alan often represents the Group at various international water and engineering sector forums.  In his spare time, he is a motorcycles and rugby enthusiast.

It is imperative we remain at the forefront in terms of the technology we utilise, both on site and within our back office, including the provision of industry leading data packages designed to exceed our clients requirements.”

Kevin Lynch

HSE Manager

An experienced HSE Manager, Kevin’s primary role within the Group is to lead a positive HSE culture throughout the company and bring practical HSE solutions to the day-to-day operations of the business. 

Kevin provides professional advice and support for the Group’s Contract Managers, Supervisors and other staff in relation to all health, safety and environmental matters, including client site audits.

As HSE Manager, Kevin has overall responsibility for compliance with all current legislation, including codes of practice and relevant standards, across The Precision Group. He also manages the Group’s Integrated Management System, including ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, ensuring critical control points are monitored effectively.

With over 30 years’ experience within the Fire and Rescue Service, Kevin brings a wealth of experience to the role.

Seamus McCallan

Operations Manager – Construction & Building Division - Asbestos

After being involved in his family business for over 15 years,  Seamus joined The Precision Group as one of two Contracts Managers, overseeing all projects within the specialist Asbestos division.

Now head of the Group’s Asbestos Division, Seamus has primary responsibility for over 20 staff, managing projects in excess of £1.5m last year.  With over 25 years’ experience within the Asbestos and Demolition / Construction industries, Seamus has a wealth of experience within the sector, paired with exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Seamus places significant emphasis on open and transparent communication, fostering strong relationships between clients, contractors and internal stakeholders alike, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Kevin Williams

Managing Director

Kevin has a long history with The Precision Group, beginning his tenure as Financial Controller, some 20 years ago.  His career quickly progressed to Finance & IT Director, leading to his current position of Managing Director in 2013.

As a Chartered Accountant, Kevin has a steely interest in the financial planning and management for all Precision Group Companies, playing a pivotal role in the overall strategic direction of the Group.  Kevin is an inclusive Managing Director, leading the Senior Management team and empowering them at every opportunity to push forward.

In Kevin’s words –
