Frequently Asked questions

The type of insulation will depend on the specific purpose that the insulation is to be used for and the surface that is being insulated. Access around surfaces may also impact on the type and level of insulation that is required.

It is important that the right type of insulation is used as insulation may not be designed for specific purposes such as chilled systems or high temperatures.

Proper insulation should reduce the surface temperature of even the most extreme surfaces to ambient temperatures that are safe to touch.

We can carry out a survey to determine the effectiveness of your current insulation and advise you on areas where insulation is not effective and advise on the best options for your project. We will only advise to replace insulation that is ineffective.

Proper effective insulation will reduce heat loss and ultimately reduce your energy costs. We can carry out a survey and provide you with details of cost savings and pay back on the initial cost outlay.

Don’t worry. We are fully licensed with the HSE to remove asbestos and can professionally remove and dispose of all forms of asbestos safely and in accordance with current legislation.

All maintenance works can be organised to minimize disruption to your business. We are highly experienced in working in live environments such as hospitals, manufacturing and commercial settings and can plan works around your site to minimise business impact.

Because chilled water pipes operate below ambient temperatures, proper insulation can protect these pipes from moisture and condensation problems such as corrosion and mold growth. Adequate insulation can also safeguard against heat gain, which would otherwise minimize the cooling system’s efficiency.
